SAMPURNA CHATTARJI’s seventeen publications include the children’s books ‘The Bhyabachyaka and other Wild Poems’, co-authored with Welsh author Eurig Salisbury and illustrated by the Mukherjee twins; ‘Three Brothers and the Flower of Gold’, her creative retelling of the ‘Panchatantra’; ‘The Fried Frog and Other Funny Freaky Foodie Feisty Poems’, which has gone into many reprints; the YA novel ‘Ela: The Girl Who Entered the Unknown’ (all from Scholastic); ‘Wordygurdyboom!’ which is her translation of Sukumar Ray’s poetry and prose; and ‘Mulla Nasruddin: The Story of MN and Me’ (both from Puffin). Among her books for adults are ‘Space Gulliver: Chronicles of an Alien’ (HarperCollins); ‘Over and Underground in Mumbai & Paris’ co-authored with Karthika Naïr, illustrated by Joëlle Jolivet and Roshni Vyam (Westland Publications). She is currently a Poetry Editor of ‘The Indian Quarterly’ and teaches writing to design students at IIT Bombay.
