Disha Literature Festival is all set for its Season 2.0 in the beautiful city, Kanpur. Started in 2019 with a simple purpose of bringing authors and readers together in a celebration of literature, this unique endeavour was a highly successful one.
We firmly believe that literature is not bound between the covers of a book, but blooms in a free environment, in a myriad of forms, languages and mediums. This festival has room for all of them. It aspires to celebrate authors, poets, playwrights, film writers, lyricists, journalists, social media writers that demonstrate literary creativity across genres.
This unique event brings together, on a single platform, ideas as well as written work. It also brings passionate and action-based reading, story-telling, imaginative worlds of characters, authors, novelists, poets, illustrators, and brilliant sessions by film writers and lyricists and interesting panel discussions under a single roof. With a diversity of languages and multiplicity of mediums, #dishaliteraturefestival is a walk through the hardbound and virtual world of literary creativity.
The festival will see an array of literary stars and emerging authors-Sowmya Rajendran, Tanu Shree Singh, Usha Chhabra, Rohini Vij, Sandhya Rao, Deepa Agarwal, Nandini Nayar, Praba Ram and the list goes on.
